CIRCLE THE GLOBE

The first Type 1 diabetic to ride solo and unsupported non -stop around the world on a 28 year old motorcycle. The issue is how to carry enough medication for five months straight and keep it cold and safe.

Challenging when you need to inject insulin three to five times daily….

I could carry around 10 liters of both types of insulin (background and fast acting) or just over two gallons with me to stay alive on the road.

The big issue is how to keep it at a constant cool temperature on a motorcycle…..

FRIO BAGS AND LOTS OF THEM

My first night in the United States before i could take my motorcycle fully out of its wooden crate at 2am… Erect a tent next to a runway at JFK Airport and get good six hours sleep.

MY FIRST NIGHT IN THE UNITED STATES SPLEEPING IN A TENT NEXT TO JFK RUNWAY
THE FIRST FILL NEAR JFK ONLY ANOTHER 200 TO GET BACK TO SCOTLAND
